The Electro-Harmonix Soul Food is an overdrive/fuzz/distortion pedal that gives strings players a wide breadth of tonal possibilities, from saturated overdriven growl to shimmering clean boost.
The Electro-Harmonix Soul Food pedal has volume and drive controls, plus a treble control for dialing in just the right amount of cut. The pedal has a very sweet midrange throatiness, and a organic sounding clipped sine wave distortion character reminiscent of an old tube amp pushed to its limits, as opposed to Electro-Harmonix’s typical square-wave fuzz. The Soul Food is constructed using Electro-Harmonix’s super-sturdy Nano chassis, and comes with its own 9v power supply.
