The Helicore multi-stranded steel core viola C is a great choice for electric violas. It’s also a good choice for a five (or more!) string Viper violin, as the long side of sharply-angled tailpiece of the Viper requires the string to be longer in order to reach the post of the tuner without having the silk end of the string go over the nut and/or into the first fret.
