He hand-selects blocks of unusual & rare woods from around the world–in this case the Southeast Asian Rambutan (ram?BOO?tn) tree–and plans his design in such a way to bring out the character of the wood’s unique figure. His fastidiousness extends to selection of complimentary hardware and chin rest to complete the overall effect.
