Description
This gorgeous Dragon Aquila from Bridge Instruments, UK is finished in the beautiful Barrier Reef custom color. The Dragons are Bridge’s “hi-spec” custom models, equipped with Wittner Finetune geared pegs and upgraded electronics. We found the instrument’s tone better balanced across the instrument’s range than the standard Aquila, with a noticeably stronger output and more brilliance on the high strings, without treble harshness.
A burst of pearlescent colors, Barrier Reef ranges from a medium seafoam green at the center to a darker royal blue metallic at the edges, with hints of purple when the light hits the darker blue from certain angles. It’s a striking color, and it’s been a favorite of Electric Violin Shop’s customers. Tuning is a breeze with the Wittner Finetune pegs, nearly making the fine tuners built into the Wittner composite tailpiece obsolete. The Barrier Reef Aquila Dragon includes a custom hard shell case and carbon composite bow.
