ETJ electric violins are designed and handmade by Eric Jacquin in Monteux, France. The unique, lightweight wooden design is attractive, extremely lightweight, and easy to play. The neck-through body construction is carved from a dramatic piece of two-tone Padauk wood. The resonant body design combined with a Starfish pickup results in a dark, rich and lush tone.
Truly a handmade instrument, the ETJ violin is carved out of a single piece of wood. It was carefully hand varnished in a multi-day process, which not only adds to the complexity of its tone but gives it a gorgeous organic sheen. The result is a very light design that produces a natural sound, rich in harmonics, highlighting the warm vibrations of its highly resonant wood. Combined with the clean, balanced tone of the Starfish Designs pickup, this instrument is perfect for expressing the nuances of traditional violin playing.
